A prominent gaming corporation, Aristocrat Gaming, has committed a significant $500,000 donation to the American Indian Science and Engineering Society (AISES). This non-profit group focuses on cultivating and empowering Indigenous pupils and experts in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics disciplines.

Aristocrat Gaming, specializing in casino game creation and distribution, acknowledges the significance of assisting Indigenous populations in pursuing STEM education and careers as part of its social responsibility initiatives.

This sizable contribution will enhance several AISES initiatives, including the organization’s scholarship program. This fund seeks to foster the advancement of Indigenous students and professionals in STEM by offering financial aid and access to valuable opportunities such as internships.

Aristocrat’s support will also furnish students with scholarships, internships, and other career advancement prospects.

AISES President, Sarah Echohawk, conveyed appreciation for the collaboration, highlighting the mutual dedication to expanding Indigenous participation in STEM domains. The AISES scholarship program currently assists 20 students nationwide pursuing gaming industry-related degrees.

Past their first contribution, Aristocrat Gaming has committed an extra $30,000 to back gatherings at the yearly AISES meeting.

The President of VGT, James Starr, highlighted, “We are honored to expand our six-year collaboration with AISES. Putting resources into the future staff of the gaming sector and aiding Indigenous populations as they seek STEM learning and professions is crucial for us.”

This dedication arrives at a pivotal moment. A study issued in late July showed that tribal gaming income hit an unprecedented $40.9 billion in the fiscal year 2022.
