The legendary Churchill Downs is undergoing a significant transformation! A whopping $200 million is being invested in a complete renovation of the paddock zone, scheduled for completion just before the landmark 150th Kentucky Derby in 2024.

This ambitious endeavor marks the culmination of a three-year investment strategy for the celebrated racecourse. The paddock’s footprint will be doubled, offering a more awe-inspiring vista of the iconic twin spires. Additionally, luxurious new club sections will be introduced, featuring exclusive dining options and reserved observation points.

This development comes on the heels of the recent additions of the Homestretch Club and the First Turn experience, both multi-million dollar enhancements aimed at providing spectators with an even more remarkable Derby adventure. Churchill Downs is sparing no expense in preparation for the grand sesquicentennial celebration!

This ranks among the most impactful building endeavors in Churchill Downs’ past, poised to utterly revolutionize the core of our facility,” remarked Bill Cistankin, Chief Executive Officer of Churchill Downs Incorporated. “Our approach to design has been exceptionally meticulous, guaranteeing an enhanced encounter for our existing patrons while simultaneously establishing the groundwork for future generations.”
