A prominent online gaming enterprise, 888, has solidified its presence in the United Kingdom’s bingo sector by procuring a collection of well-known bingo brands formerly under the Jet banner. The transaction, estimated at £18 million (roughly $23.3 million), grants 888 ownership of names like Costa Bingo, City Bingo, and Sing Bingo – all recognizable to British bingo aficionados.
These particular brands were previously overseen by JPJ Group as components of their Mandalay holdings and functioned on 888’s Dragonfish bingo platform via a B2B collaboration. Currently, 888 will manage these brands directly through their B2C framework, enabling enhanced control and assimilation with their existing offerings.
This calculated maneuver aligns with 888’s Chief Executive, Itai Pazner’s, objective of broadening the company’s international reach within regulated sectors. Pazner posits that incorporating these established brands into 888’s current portfolio will generate substantial synergy and reveal fresh avenues for expansion. He sees specific merit in utilizing 888’s capabilities in product innovation, promotion, and client relations management to elevate the performance of these recently acquired brands.
This acquisition transpires as 888 actively redefines its approach under Pazner’s guidance, succeeding the exit of former CEO Itai Frieberger. This action indicates 888’s dedication to the UK bingo market and its aspiration to become a leading force within the domain.
