GAN has teamed up with Island View Casino in Mississippi to initiate sports wagering operations in the United States. This marks the initial deployment of GAN Sports in the US since the acquisition of Coolbet in January 2021.
Island View Casino patrons can now place sports wagers on twenty interconnected self-service terminals. GAN will also unveil a mobile sports betting application called “Bet the V” to supplement the physical operation.
The mobile solution will be driven by GAN’s GameSTACK player account management (PAM) system, enabling multi-channel sports betting via retail kiosks or mobile devices.
GAN will also furnish marketing and customer service assistance. The agreement will pave the way for a statewide mobile sports betting rollout in the future when Mississippi expands gambling through pertinent legislation. At present, consumers can only place mobile bets within authorized casinos.
The launch follows GAN’s acquisition of Vincent Group, the parent company of operator Coolbet, for $175.9 million in January of the previous year. Its GAN Sports product is founded on Coolbet technology.
GAN stated that it anticipates announcing further GAN Sports launches in 2023.
