The Kindred Group is set to introduce its Unibet brand in Washington state through a collaboration with the Swinomish Tribe. This partnership will encompass the Swinomish Tribe’s gambling establishment and lodging facility in Anacortes.
The accord is valid for a period of six years, with an option to prolong it for an additional five years. Kindred and the Swinomish Tribe will establish a jointly branded Unibet and Swinomish retail sportsbook within the brick-and-mortar casino.
Washington state presently does not permit online gambling, but it does authorize mobile wagering within land-based casinos.
The undertaking is contingent upon licensing and regulatory approvals. If granted authorization, Unibet will provide sports betting services in its seventh US jurisdiction.
“We are delighted to broaden our presence in the US and collaborate with the Swinomish Tribe,” stated Manuel Stan, Senior Vice President of Kindred North America. “Inaugurating a sports betting lounge at the Swinomish Casino and Hotel will enable us to furnish a top-tier sports betting experience.”
Kindred further indicated that it will persist in investing in the expansion of its US operations, contingent upon market circumstances supporting a “sustainable” business model.
Across the United States, numerous non-traditional brands are encountering difficulties, with FuboTV recently making the decision to cease its sports wagering activities.
Unibet also operates in Arizona, Indiana, Iowa, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Virginia, in addition to Ontario, Canada.
