A recent compensation study by iGB-Pentasia has uncovered that the lack of skilled professionals in the iGaming sector is causing a significant issue. Compensation packages are rising, and businesses are having to allocate more resources to locate new personnel. This is hindering the industry’s growth.
The average compensation in the iGaming sector has increased by 12% in the past year, with numerous companies observing increases exceeding 25%.
Alastair Cleland, the leader of Pentasia, stated that organizations with numerous unfilled positions are compelled to offer competitive compensation to attract qualified individuals.
The most pressing need is for individuals possessing technical expertise and experience. Cleland suggests that companies must explore innovative strategies to draw in these types of workers.
Compensation for compliance and legal roles has risen by 26%, as new regulations are placing pressure on businesses.
Sales compensation has also increased by 26% following a decline during the pandemic.
However, Cleland indicates that there are some signs suggesting that the situation may improve in the long term.
“Organizations that prioritize their employees are the most appealing to new workers. Businesses are starting to recognize that they must cultivate a positive work environment to maintain employee satisfaction,” he remarked.
